Bhasà Mòhr

These vases are designed and handturned during my artist in residence in Scotland. They represent night and day in winter time. The black vase is inspired by the utter darkness of Scottish nights and the natural vase shows it’s locally sourced wood during daylight - quiet, plain and pure. I call them Bhasà Mòhr - Scottish Gaelic for tall vase.

Amphorae were used for wine and oil and they stood in soft ground on their pointed bottoms. The hanging vase can be mounted on any wall and is composed of several handturned wooden components. You can choose between either a deep black coloured vase or a natural vase finished with hard wax. A wall fixture is included with your purchase.
