klaster x van der waal
Two old crafts are put into practice and connected in a contemporary way. Miranda van der Waal is glassblower in Delfshaven, Rotterdam. She mouth blows her glass objects in front of the flame, an old Venetian technique. Marisa Klaster is designer/ woodturner in Cool, also in Rotterdam and she turnes her wooden tableware behind the lathe.
full of character in 2 versions
Each base is hand turned, each top mouth blown in a beautiful organic shape and no shape is the same. We designed two versions:
- the natural version with our innovative joint to make it easier to clean;
- the burned version.
easy to clean
We developed a special joint for the natural version to disconnect both parts and make it easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
