Merging Matter Sculpture
A large heavy sculpture of 3 elements in wood and ceramics. The large wooden vessel is hollow, finished with hard wax. The black structured vase is hollow, with a solid top of the same material.

This collection of handturned and handshaped sculptures has been designed together with Natasja van der Meer. Natasja and I both make these objects in our own studio based on a number of clear principles.

The Merging Matter collection consists of unique objects made of ceramics and wood. Each object is tactile, playful, functional and alternately hollow or solid.
An exciting balance of jars and lids that can be combined and stacked in all kinds of combinations. Natural colors and structures are determined by using different types and finishes of clay and wood.
