The Collected Series by Ilse van Stoltz (The Hague) brings together a powerful and layered visual language shaped through intuition and material exploration. In intuition and exploration  is where Ilse as an artist and myself as a designers/ maker connect in our work. 

As part of The Collected Series, we begun our first collaboration. I made custom wooden objects for her constructional wall sculptures. These frames are designed to complement the sculptural forms, enhancing their presence and creating a refined, tactile dialogue between wood and material. Each frame is individually made, offering the option to present a sculpture as a complete elevated work.

For me being an artist is not about creating objects—it is about engaging in a conversation with the unseen. “The Poetry of objects”  My process is an intimate dialogue, where each brushstroke, each decision, and each moment of hesitation builds an unseen layer of intuition, guided adjustments, failures, and triumphs. I do not attach myself to the final piece; rather, I am deeply intertwined with the act of creation itself. The artwork is a residue of this experience, a composition that emerges organically. When my part of the journey ends, the story of the piece is no longer mine—it belongs to the viewer, who is free to interpret and feel it in their own way.
