Unique, extremely rare, historic and beautiful
A limited selection of only five of these handmade vases of Roman wood will be available for purchase. Each object is made of almost 2000 year old Roman wood; original foundation poles that were used by Romans in 125 AD to build the Limes road (world heritage since 2022). Each vase comes with an authenticity certificate. The vases are extremely rare and limited art objects, only partly hollow and not be filled with water.

I’m happy to show you around at the current exhibtion at Groenveld Castle (Baarn). You can make an appointment via mklaster@gmail.com.

The vases were on show at the 1000 Vases exhibition during the Super Salone in Milaan (2022).

Material: deselected oak foundation poles of the Roman road (Limes/ world heritage). The oak is historic material and nearly 2000 years old
Finish: bioraisin and hardwax
Height: app. 70-80 cm
Each vase is placed on a rusted solid steel foot
